MARKAZ AT A GLANCE

Markaz-E-Adab-O-Science, Ranchi, a Charitable Educational Trust (Regn. No. 966/IV-474) was established in 1995 with a view to generate the education, economic and social awareness among Muslim masses and then to establish a multi-objective institution for preparing an effective, wise and dynamic leadership to make them disciplined in education and to train them for different competitive fields.

> This motive is to be promoted with religious understanding, communal harmony and moral values on the basis of comparative studies of different religion. The main cause behind the spread of communalism, casteism and regionalism is to be traced out and got rid of it. This can be effectively done by organising seminars, symposia, public lectures, publishing articles, etc.

To achieve the above objectives MAOS is divided into the following four units for rendering valuable services to the masses:

Comparative Religion

Organised an open discourse on "Ethical Values of Life in different Scriptures" in co-ordination with the Fellowship of Faith. The topics covered by the different speakers are as follows:

Career Guidance and Training Centre

2546 Scholarships awarded to the orphans and the downtrodden school going children.

Institutions Established

Sajjad Computer Training & Guidance Centre (SCTGC) Providing " One year Diploma in Computer Application & Multi-lingual DTP" at Bariatu Housing Colony, Ranchi.

Sajjad Institute of Information Technology (SIIT) ) - Providing " One year Diploma in Computer Application & Multi-lingual DTP" at First Floor, G.K. Market, kanta Toli Chowk, Ranchi.

Both the above institutes are recognised and approved by NCPUL, Ministry of HRD, Department of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

IGNOU Special Study Centre for Minorities - As per the notification no. IG/RSD/NOTIFICATION/99 dated 9/6/2000 of IGNOU, Markaz has got a special study centre (Code : 0531) from IGNOU for courses of CIC, BCA & MCA.

In this connection partial financial help of Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, is worth mentioning.
