CENTER FOR LITERATURE

To fulfil the objectives of Markaz-E-Adab-O-Science "Sajjad Library" was established in the year 1966. Right from its inception the Library has been rendering valuable services to the masses through its limited resources without any discrimination of caste, creed and religion. On behalf of this Library various types of seminars, symposia, meetings and Eid Milan programs were organised to achieve its objectives. An "Intellectual Forum" was also established through which the various seminars were organised in which VCs and Professors, selected learned and religious personalities and intellectuals were the participants. From this library hundreds of people of various community and religion benefited. Break-up of books, magazines, audio & video cassettes available are as follows:

    • Total no. of books on 90 topics - 15,000
    • No. of important files of literary magazines - 10
    • No. of educational, social & academic magazines - 25
    • Documentary files & clippings - 110
    • No. of audio cassettes - 200
    • No. of video cassettes and CDs - 100
    • Files of important papers of 30 years - 5
    • Total number of beneficiaries - 1500

 

As a part of above activities, a scheme on five prominent Indian languages and literature has also been put up by Markaz-E-Adab-O-Science before the University Grants Commission for its approval on the topic "Ideological and Literary Foundations of Indian Literature (With Special Reference to Urdu, Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Tamil".
